Since 1983, Downing's Gym has been building a tradition of fitness and weightlifting greatness. We were founded by Pat and Susie Downing to be a workout gym to transform people's lives through exercise and community. We will assist in your fitness goals be it losing weight, first time lifting, bodybuilding, powerlifting, strongman, to sports specific one on one training, nutrition experts.
We are proud to offer a variety of different workout programs and classes. We have sport specific personal trainers on staff ready to assist. We are the only gym in the area featuring Olympic weightlifting training and facilities. We also offer Zumba Cardio Classes. Downing Gym is a proud sponsor and host of the Corvallis Special Olympics lifting team training.
Downing’s gym is a 10,000 square feet of Athletic Training Facility for both weight lifting and cardio exercise. Our cardio section features state of the art stair steppers, ellipticals, treadmills, a mono-lift, stationary bikes, and a rowing machine. The weight training section is equipped with specialized benches and machines, kettlebells, stability balls, strongman stones, prowler sled, dumbells ranging from 1lb to 150lbs, a reverse hyper machine and much more. We have all the strongman equipment that you need to achieve your fitness goals.
Whether you are a mother looking to get in shape after having a child, a marathon runner training for his or her next race, or a bodybuilder getting ready for your next contest, we utilize our fitness experience to create personalized fitness programs that help our members realize their potential.
We do this with our unsurpassed motivating atmosphere, knowledgeable staff and premier exercise equipment, which supports our members in meeting their individual fitness goals.
We offer personal training sessions for $25 each or $250 a month for 3 sessions a week. We also offer nutrition consultations and have a full line of supplements. Our gym has a cardio room which will meet all your circuit needs, bumper weights, hammer strength, powerlifting/bodybuilding team, platforms, a stretching and posing area, and showers.

Peter Martin, Owner & Personal Trainer
Peter has been powerlifting for over 20 years and has had many state records in bench press and deadlift. He started powerlifting after college football. Peter has over 15 first places in WABDL meets. He is a certified personal trainer and has trained many first-team HS athletes, world recording holding powerlifters, champion body builders, and beginning lifters. Peter is also a USAP Certified Power Lifting Coach.
If you are trained by me it will be an all encompassing program that improves your mind and body, and I guarantee results. My philosophy is resistance training for a positive body and mind transformation. If I train a person, I take a serious personal interest in that person.

Cindy Martin
Cindy is a certified personal trainer who has lost over 150lbs and has competed in both Bodybuilding and Powerlifting competitions. Cindy is an expert in diet and nutrition and helps transform lives in all aspects, physically and mentally. She trains people of all fitness levels for weight loss, powerlifiting, bodybuilding, circuit training, or first time visits. Cindy is a positive life coach, and offers flexible payment plans.
